How to support Action For Development (ACFODE)

ACFODE raises funds locally and internationally from her members and development partners respectively. An indigenous, voluntary and non-governmental women’s organization formed in 1985, ACFODE promotes women’s empowerment, gender equality and equity through advocacy, networking and capacity building of both women and men.

Our organization exists because of the support of many members and partners who have contributed enormously by sponsoring/ donating funds and materials to sustain our work in the women’s movement in Uganda.

There are 3 ways to support ACFODE’s work

Becoming a Member
This is done by filling in a form obtained from either ACFODE house or the website. Once vetted, you pay a membership fee of 100,000 UG Shillings ($ 50) and a subsequent annual subscription of 50,000 UG Shillings ($ 25).

Becoming a Donor/Partner
This applies to both individuals and organizations with an interest of donating either finances or materials that will foster and broaden ACFODE’s influence at grass root and national level during program implementation in promoting women’s empowerment socially, economically and politically.

The whole process is done through a legal mechanism of trust between the donor and ACFODE.

NOTE: You choose how much you can donate; we don’t recommend any particular amount.

Corporate Sponsorship

Fulfill your corporate social responsibility objectives and benefit from affinity. By linking with us you will help us achieve our vision of ensuring ‘a just society where there is gender equality of opportunities in all spheres of life.’
