ACFODE is an indigenous organisation that has been advocating for gender equality since 1985. We appreciate all stakeholders, partners and friends that have been instrumental in the struggle towards women and girls' empowerment. There are many milestones to celebrate in many sectors of education, politics, economics, business and so many more. ACFODE has given birth to many individuals and organisations that are flagging women high in their own capacities. We invite you to our week long celebrations that kick off on Monday November 15th.

The Theme for the Silver Jubilee is 25 years of Gender Equality;

Embracing the Youth and Looking Ahead.

We kicked off celebrations in Pallisa and Kisoro. October 28th to 29th are the inter-university debates.

On Monday 15th, we have a march from Railway Grounds to ACFODE offices, Tuesday to Wednesday , there is a two day symposium at Hotel Africana. On Thursday, there will be an inter-primary song and dance competition on the theme, The Future of the Women of Uganda and  on 19th  there is a grand dinner dance at Kabira Country Club. Come let’s celebrate.
